For more than 20 years, Since its establishment, OFC has been implementing product quality control into every production process. And every product we develop,the test items include:Optical parameters,material performance, mechanical performance and environmental performance. The production management system developed by OFC can trace the raw material manufacturer of any product leaving our factory, material model,batch number, as well as production personnel, testers,and field engineers in every production link. As a quality controller, what kind of work do we do in the production site and laboratory every day?

First, visually judge whether the appearance and printing content of the fiber optic cable are correct or not, and using the caliper to measure the diameter of the fiber optic cable with reference to the tolerance standard; 

Second, using the ring cutter to strip the fiber optic cable (the stripping length is 0.5m~1.0m) to check the cable’s structure are correct or not;

Third,using the printing wear-resistant machine to test the firmness of the printing with 《IEC-60794-1-21-E2B》 standard: wool felt soaked water, the load is 4N, and printing can be clearly identified after 100 cycles;

Fourth，The detection of optical fiber geometric parameters conforms to the standard of 《IEC 60793-1》 (macro bending loss, mode field diameter, PMD coefficient, etc.); 

Fifth，reinforcing element aramid yarn adopts 《YD/T 1181.2-2008》 standard to detect parameters such as breaking strength and breaking elongation;

Sixth,the tensile element FRP and galvanized steel wire’s material flexural modulus, maximum breaking force, torsion are tested with tensile equipment according to the standards of 《YD/T 1181.1-2015》、《YB/T 098-2012》;  

Seventh, In terms of quality reliability (for example, the curing strength of colored optical fiber shall be wiped 1-2 times/s against the color layer with 95% industrial alcohol and 100 times;

Eighth, the excess length of optical fiber shall be judged by the method of cutting at both ends for positive and negative excess length;

Ninth, the flame retardant of optical fiber shall refer to 《IEC60332-1 Test Method for Vertical Flame Propagation of Single Insulated Wire or Cable》, and 《IEC60332-3 Test Method for Vertical Flame Propagation of Vertically Installed Bundled Wire and Cable》;

Tenth, in terms of mechanical properties, the methods of 《IEC-60794-1-21-E1 Tension》, 《IEC-60794-1-21-E3 Crush》, 《IEC-60794-1-21-E4 Impact》, 《IEC-60794-1-21-E1A Bending》, 《IEC-60794-1-21-E7 Torsion》 are used to test the optical fiber and monitor the additional attenuation of the optical fiber ≤ 0.1dB;

Eleventh，In terms of environmental performance, the temperature cycle standard of 《Telcordia GR-20 C.6.3》 and 《IEC 60794-1-22-F1》, 75℃/RH95% high temperature and high humidity, and UL1581 ultraviolet resistance are quoted for testing. 

Twelfth，Three-spectrum analysis (covering Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy-FTIR, Thermogravimetric Analysis-TGA, Differential Scanning Calorimetry-DSC, etc is carried out on the sheath material.
